On the 12th June this year we will see some incredibly brave people take a leap of faith for TinyLife! A 160-foot leap to be more precise, at the end of a bungee cord!
One of those brave individuals is Laurie-Ann Lemon. Laurie-Ann is no stranger to TinyLife services. Having her own premature son, Lewis, Laurie-Ann has seen firsthand the great work carried out by the team over at TinyLife.And now she wants to give back!
This is Laurie-Anns’ story….
”Six years ago my son Lewis was born unexpectedly at 32 weeks. He remained in the hospital for 3 weeks until he was strong enough to come home. I initially contacted TinyLife for the loan of a breast pump, I then became in regular contact with a support worker from TinyLife. Lewis was able to attend baby massage sessions, we had monthly meetings to ensure Lewis was developing for his corrected age and we were able to attend parent support groups. This is a small snippet of the work that TinyLife does in supporting families of premature and sick babies in Northern Ireland. Fundraising for TinyLife is a small token of appreciation for what they have done to support my son and our family through what was an extremely scary time.”
