Despite several postponements last year we are delighted to announce a new date for our Slieve Donard Challenge, it will now take place on SUNDAY 8th August 2021. Slieve Donard is the highest peak in the Mournes (some 850 metres) jt offers some fantastic views in reward for walking to the summit. Gaze south over the Carlingford Mountains and beyond Dundalk Bay towards the Wicklow Mountains on the southern horizon. The Isle of Man and a glimpse of Scotland can be seen eastwards with Belfast City easily visible to the north.
This guided challenge will be led by expert mountain leaders Life Adventure. Registration £20 and each participant is asked to raise a minimum of £60 sponsorship.
The challenge will take approx 5 hours to complete.
Participants must be 12 years + (under 16s must be accompanied by an adult).
