At TinyLife we believe that education – for parents, healthcare professionals and the public in general – is key to helping to reduce the number of premature, ill and disabled babies born in Northern Ireland and invaluable in helping families to cope when such circumstances arise.
As part of TinyLife’s commitment to provide an educational programme, we have a comprehensive resource library which is updated regularly and which comprises a wide range of books, videos and information leaflets that parents can consult or borrow, dealing with many of the relevant practical and emotional issues faced.
TinyLife has produced a number of information leaflets and booklets aimed at parents of premature babies and parents-to-be. ‘Everything You Need to Know About Feeding Your Premature Baby in the First Year’ is a specialist feeding booklet for premature and sick babies. Other leaflets available include information on the dangers of alcohol in pregnancy and smoking when pregnant. There are a number of leaflets available to download.
TinyLife also produces a regular newsletter aimed at parents and healthcare professionals which addresses relevant and topical issues relating to prematurity and provides an update on TinyLife’s activities.
Copies of any of our information leaflets or newsletter are available from the TinyLife office. Please telephone 028 9081 5050 or email us.
