Our Supportive Services
Supporting you in the neonatal unit
If you have experienced the birth of a premature, ill or disabled baby it is likely that your little one will have to spend some time in hospital, in a neonatal unit. This can be a stressful and anxious time for you. TinyLife’s team of family support officers are here to help you through this difficult time.
Breast Pump Loan Service
As a new mum, you want to give your little one the best start in life. Research has shown that breast milk can significantly help the development of babies in neonatal units and thereafter. TinyLife can lend a hand through our Breast Pump Loan Service. Providing breast milk can help you to bond with your baby in these difficult early stages.
Supporting you when your baby comes home
We are delighted to be able to offer home-based family support. If you feel that you would benefit from some extra help through our family support volunteers, our family support officers will try to match you and your family with a trained volunteer.
Parent Support Groups
As a parent of a premature, ill or disabled baby, sometimes it’s difficult to know who to turn to for help and advice and who will understand what you are going through. You may find it helpful to chat to other parents who have been through a similar situation, to share your experiences and learn from each other.
Baby Massage Class
Parents who attend a Baby Massage course learn so much more than just a massage routine. Our classes cover touch, movement, relaxation, interaction and communication. Many parents have already discovered the numerous benefits of baby massage for premature or sick babies.
