Marathon Hatrick for Ballycastle Man

Spinathon 2009

Spinathon 2009

Chris McAuley from Ballycastle is set to participate in the London, Belfast and Dublin Marathon’s this year in a bid to raise funds for TinyLife formerly NIMBA.   TinyLife is committed to supporting parents of premature, sick and vulnerable babies.

Chris comments “After the tragic loss of our baby daughter Erin, I wanted to make people aware that a charity such as TinyLife can provide support for those who have experienced premature birth.  TinyLife receives no government funding and relies entirely on voluntary contributions.”

Chris kicks off his fundraising activities with ‘Spinathon 2009’
in the Sheskburn Recreation Centre on Saturday 28th March 2009 from 12 noon – 5pm.

Grace McMullan from the recreation department Moyle District Council will help Chris put the ‘spinners’ through their paces.   There are 75 places on the event,  each person will participate in one 45 minute spin class in exchange for a donation to TinyLife, so no need to raise sponsorship. Classes will run from 12 noon – 5pm.

Chris appeals ‘Just give me one hour of your Saturday time and help make a real difference to the well being of premature babies in North Antrim and Moyle.’

To book your slot contact Carol at reception on 0280207 63300 or email cnicholl@moyle-council.org  or phone Chris on 0787 194 2136 or email cmcauley@moyle-council.org

Local businesses in Ballycastle have generously sponsored refreshments and prizes for the event.  Before each session a representative from TinyLife will give a short presentation on the work of the charity.
