Beth's Pintsized Walk

Beth is first across the line

Beth is first across the line

Around 80 boys, girls, mums and dads joined 3 year old Beth McQuillan on her special 'pintsized' walk in Portglenone Forest Park on Easter Saturday.  The 11th of April was a special day for the McQuillan family as on that day three years ago little Beth came into the world 14 weeks early, weighing a mere 1lb 4oz.

Tommy and Gillian were so thankful that Beth is strong and healthy they wanted to 'give something back', and so decided to raise some money in support of TinyLife and the refurbishment of the Family Room in the Antrim Area Hospital Neo Natal Unit.

The McQuillan's invited family and friends (including a large number from Scotland) to join them on a 10k walk around Portglenone Forest.
As the walk got underway boys and girls where given the task of searching for easter eggs on the woodland route.
After the first 2.5 k lap everyone enjoyed snacks and drinks courtesy of Sainsbuys, Ballymena, Dale Farm and Lidl, Ballymena.

To date an enormous £4,000 has been raised.
Thank you to everyone who joined Beth and her family on this special day.
