Research Project - can you help?

Can you help improve a research project involving preterm babies and their families?

What did we do?

Researchers at Queen’s University Belfast and Tiny Life ran a study to test the response of very preterm infants to special interactive cartoons: we hope these cartoons may help infants concentrate better.

What we are planning to do?

We are planning to run another study involving a larger number of infants born very preterm and their families. However, before we plan this study, we wish to learn how we can make sure that taking part in this study is easier and interesting for preterm infants and parents like you.

How can you help us?

Your views and opinions can help us tweak and improve the way we communicate with parents and how we run the study.

If you agree to help us, a researcher from Queen’s University Belfast will carry out a short interview on the phone, at a time of your choice.

The interview will last between 20 to 30 minutes at most. All the information you will provide us will be confidential and anonymous: apart from the researcher interviewing you, nobody will know that you were interviewed. You can also decide to stop the interview at any time, without giving any explanation.

How can I talk with you?

If you would like to be interviewed, please contact Oliver Perra, lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast, by Tuesday 10 December 2019. Oliver can be reached at 028 9097 2313, or o.perra@qub.ac.uk
