RSV Prevention Study in premature babies

Recruiting Now!

We are conducting a research study on a new medicine that is being tested to see if it can prevent RSV infection in healthy pre-term babies.

Pre-term babies are at greater risk of serious lung infection and hospitalisation from RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) especially during the winter months

If your baby was born prematurely at no more than 35 weeks gestation (up to 35 weeks 6 days) and is not older than 6 months of age, your baby might be eligible to participate in this clinical trial.

This study has been approved by the West of Scotland REC 1 Ethics Committee.

Please telephone Dr David Sweet at The Royal Maternity Hospital Neonatal Unit on 02890633641 for more information.
