Happy World Breastfeeding Week

This year’s World Breastfeeding Week by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action (WABA) is all about “working together for the common good”. Breastfeeding is a key for sustainable development so EFCNI invited us and other partnering parent organisations to join a common campaign to highlight the unmet needs and the most valuable support they received while breastfeeding. Parents from 16 countries shared their breastfeeding experiences and we created an illustrative poster to visualise their answers. In this poster, you can find out more about their personal views on “What was the most valuable support when breastfeeding your baby?” (in purple colour) and “Which obstacles occurred and what was missing that could have helped you in this situation?” (in grey colour). The font size of the words corresponds to the most frequent answers, e.g. most of the parents replied that their “partner” was the most valuable support for breastfeeding.

Download the poster for free at: http://bit.ly/2vVdIJ5, print, and share it with your network. To read the full responses, please have a look at: http://bit.ly/2uVaA2C

We are delighted to support the campaign and thank all participating organisations for their commitment. Happy World Breastfeeding Week 2017!
